Several other museums have a more specialized focus on important subjects. The Florida Holocaust Memorial Museum(55 5th St. S.; 727-820-0100) in St. Petersburg is the fourth largest Holocaust museum in the U.S. Permanent exhibits, as well as special exhibits brought from museums around the world, describe the tragic experience of Jewish people in Europe before, during and after the Second World War to educate the public about this destruction of human life and promote a deeper understanding of the responsibility all of us have to respect human life.

The Florida International Museum (100 2nd St. N.; 727-822-3693) in a renovated department store in downtown St. Petersburg is Florida's largest kunsthall, the premier place for presenting world-class blockbuster exhibits - from the "Splendors of Ancient Egypt" and the "Treasures of the Czars" to the "Cuban Missile Crisis." The museum brings in the best of the biggest museum shows.
